Cherry blossoms will bloom soon.

As we transition from winter to spring, Japan is getting warmer. How about in your country? It's the season that makes you want to go on a picnic with a bento box in hand.

Now, when it comes to spring in Japan, it's all about cherry blossoms! From mid-March to early April, pink cherry blossoms spread throughout Japanese towns. Tourists from all over the world come to see Japan's cherry blossoms! It's estimated that the number of tourists will reach its peak during this time, making it the busiest tourist season of the year! It's so delightful that foreign tourists come to Japan because of the cherry blossoms.

When will the cherry blossoms bloom?

Cherry blossom blooming forecasts are announced every year. According to the news, it's expected that cherry blossoms will bloom nationwide either at normal timing or slightly earlier than usual in spring 2024. This is likely influenced by the higher-than-average temperatures during this winter (December to February) nationwide, which are expected to accelerate the blooming of cherry blossoms in various regions.

This year, cherry blossoms are expected to start blooming from March 21st in Tokyo, Nagoya, Gifu, and Kochi. By the 22nd, they'll bloom in places like Fukuoka and Kyoto, and by the 23rd, they'll bloom in places like Osaka and Nagasaki, spreading across a wide area from Kyushu to Hokuriku by the end of March. In April, they'll move to northern Japan, reaching Sendai and Aomori, and by late April, they'll bloom in Hokkaido, the northernmost part of Japan.

The charm of Japan's cherry blossoms lies in the fact that the blooming dates vary by region, allowing for cherry blossom viewing across different areas.

I'm looking forward to spending enjoyable moments with family and friends under the beautiful cherry blossoms this year, with bento boxes in hand.

Let's all go on a picnic with Bento Boxes!

Matane!
